At our last Ready Set Sing session, our director John Gough quickly put together a teaching quartet in the persons of Frank Knoll (Tenor), himself (Lead), Jim McDougall (Bass) and Roswell McPherson (Baritone), and they performed for us the long version of My Wild Irish Rose. The annual show of 2005 had an Irish theme and these four people learned this song back then so were able to perform the song for us as we want to perform it in our next annual show. I was able to get my cell phone up in time to record the whole thing so I can now post it for you here to watch, listen and learn from.
As we continue to learn the other songs for our next show, I hope John puts together teaching quartets like this one so that I can record and post them for us to learn from. I am posting this here on my blog page and it has also been posted on the Odds And Ends page via The Members and Gallery pages. Also, opposite My Wild Irish Rose on the SHOWS AND SINGOUTS page or on the "M" SONGS page via the INDEX OF SONGS page, you will find a button marked Teaching Video that will be linked to the same video. Just click on that button.
